The strategic plan process includes the following: 


  1. Facilitating an initial discovery call 
  2. Gathering of history and planning documents 
  3. Conducting a community scan 
  4. Creating a Strategic Plan Implementation Team consisting of an executive leadership team member, two board members, a member of mid-level management, two staff members, and a volunteer in the organization 
  5. Distributing a SWOT survey then convening with team for analysis 
  6. Facilitating a mission and values discovery process to evaluate and articulate organizational vision in concise and motivational terms* 
  7. Conducting an “Organizational WIN” process that defines the organizational win and measurable contributions toward shared employee engagement around the mission statement* 
  8. Developing the Strategic Plan with articulated goals and tactics identified by month and year 
  9. Engineering the corresponding Work Plan that identifies who is championing a goal/tactic, who is collaborating on the goal/tactic, and target dates 
  10. Submitting the draft of strategic plan and work plan to the organization for review 
  11. Finalizing Strategic Plan and Work Plan 
  12. The Strategic Plan Implementation Team will drive focus and clarity in the process. 
  13. The Strategic Plan Implementation Team will oversee recalibration, ensuring you’re always moving in the right direction.
